Rylan and Tori's older girls have all flown the coop, leaving only little Peace here still at home. Well, almost. One of Rylan's twins, romance sim Penelope, decided to move back home after college.
She's ready to collect some notches on her bedpost!
Actually, she has a few already, and I'm not planning to go for 30 with her, so it may not be that many more. We'll see if I can be bothered to find the time for it. For now, she gets a job as a musician while waiting for her dream job as a chef to show in the daily listings.
Rylan and Penelope both find getting promoted easy, but Tori the family sim hasn't been doing as well. She's close to the top of her first career, but really needs an aspiration boost to get that last promotion. Making best friends with Frannie Carr here put her in platinum just as the carpool showed up.
Uh-oh, I've got a bad feeling about this. Two hours I needed the nanny for, two lousy hours, and this is the first thing she does?
Frannie very much endears herself to me when she walks into the kitchen just as the nanny sets herself on fire, climbs onto a chair, and calmly sits and watches.
Fortunately the firefighter shows up in time to save the nanny's life. It would've sucked to lose toddler Peace over a stupid thing like that.
As soon as the fire's out, Frannie slides off her chair and says goodbye. Show's over, folks, nothing more to see!
Oh, sure, this time you pulled it off! Like that's something to brag about!
Despite a bad chance card that cost him two charisma points (ouch, not good for a knowledge sim) Rylan brings home another promotion. Penelope finds a job as a chef, and when Tori makes it home later that night, she's been elected Mayor!
Meanwhile, Peace becomes a child.
There's really not much to say about Peace. She doesn't have a very strong personality so far, just a generic kid.
Unless you count her ambition. Already thinking about graduating college? You just started school!
Or the fact that she gets to trim the trees all by herself at her age - although I suspect that says more about her parents, really.
Penelope does her thing...
... and the aspiration boost helps her reach her goal of being a celebrity chef.
Oh, and Rylan was named Chief of Staff after getting two promotions in one day. Way to go.
The very next day he got another bad chance card which cost him those same charisma points all over again - and §50,000! After an experience like that, he immediately went back to science, his first love.
Another one bites the dust... Penelope just had to know what woohoo is like with a heavily pregnant guy. Face wasn't about to turn her down.
From there, I guess it's a short step to traumatizing your little sister for life.
I'm not sure exactly why Marlee Dante was visiting - catching up with Pen? - but her timing is either lousy or perfect, take your pick.
She's not a member of the family, BJ, I promise!

No, I'm not insinuating anything by showing Pen's bed in the background. You may have noticed that Peace is currently sleeping in it!
Still, that handshake looks kinda bad under the circumstances.
Shortly after the headmaster leaves, it's time for Rylan to grow old!

I really need to update the furniture in this house. It's just not Penelope's style.

Great update - good to see that everyone is doing so well in their careers.
The nannies are so useless... the kids would probably be safer by themselves.
