Vega, Week 4

Javier Vega no longer has to live alone.



Not only did his fiancée Tamara Black (above) move in with him, but his favorite little sister, Dolores, came back home after graduation.



Dolores doesn't have any immediate plans to get married, although she does date Ronan "Face" Black - Tamara's nephew, strictly speaking, although they barely know each other.



Anyway, Javier and Tamara were eager to start their life together. Tamara has only just moved in and found herself a job (in paranormal, until she finds the one she wants) and already she's talking about adding to the family.



Four unsuccessful tries for baby later, they're looking a little less enthusiastic. Not to mention that they missed the car pool - and we all know how well fortune sims take to that. So they jumped into the car to get to work, determined to keep trying later.



That night, not only does Tamara find a job in her dream career - crime - but they also succeed in getting pregnant. That's where the luck runs out; she has a very difficult pregnancy, and I do mean very difficult. Just look at that plumbob.



The house is expanded - both a second story, and a greenhouse off the kitchen. You don't even need to go outside to pick yourself some fresh vegetables for your salad.



The couple that weeds together... uh... breeds together?



Javier reaches the top of his second career, thereby fulfilling a second LTW. Hello, Mr Chief of Staff!



And that very night...



"I can't look! They're taking him away from me!"



Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy, anyone? That doesn't look very safe.



Screeeaaaam!



Yes, Javi, they're right behind you.



He runs right inside and into Tamara's arms. Only she can make this bearable.



Awww.



The answer to that question is "Yes."



The following night Javier and Dolores invite their sister Mercedes and her fiancé Ramsey Bonaccord over for a visit. Tamara decides this is a good time to go into labor, right there in the front yard.



And here's Paloma Vega. Tamara's adopted father's name is Jonah, which is Hebrew for dove. Paloma means the same thing in Spanish. She has black hair and her dad's amber eyes.

She's the first G3 born in the neighborhood.



Aunt Mercedes takes it upon herself to feed the baby, even though she was just fed a couple hours ago.



Javier...

"What? Don't look at me, Mercedes left her there. And I'm pregnant, I need to eat."



Live-in spinster sisters do have their uses. Dolores dotes on her niece.



To set the record straight, Javier loves his little girl very much, too. It's just the pregnancy that keeps him from being the perfect parent.



Tamara, did you...? Do you know what that's going to do?

"He's going to have twins now."

And you want this?

"I don't want to go through another pregnancy. The first one nearly killed me. Three kids should be enough, right? If he has twins, it's like a 75% chance at least one of them will be a boy."

Huh. Not in my game.



Poor Tams got fired from her job. That smuggler chance card is the pits.

Silver lining, though - she found the same job on the computer again. Yay!



The Ryan family stops by for a visit, along with Nadia Nettles Wrightley. Of course they have to talk about aliens.



You know what this means... It's birthday time!



Paloma turns out to be a Capricorn, 9/3/2/10/10. Very neat, nice and playful, but shy and lazy. She's going to have The Slouch. I hate The Slouch. Remind me to have Javier encourage it out of her.



He beat the odds. I knew he was going to do that. Two girls.



Celestina here is the older...



... and Luz the younger.



Tamara, for someone who just fulfilled a LTW, you sure don't look happy.

"Two girls! I can't believe he had two girls! He's going to want me to get pregnant again now so he can have a boy."

I really don't think Javier is that kind of macho. But if I'm wrong, I'll just introduce him to the electro dance sphere, and he can get pregnant again. Now go inside and help take care of those three adorable little girls.



"There's a green thing in my room! Get it out of here!"

Paloma wasn't very happy, either, to wake up to find that her room was no longer her own. Going from an only child to one of three during a nap was just no fun at all.

Honey, when they get big enough to play with, it'll be a lot better. You'll see.


Points this round: 6, 3 for careers, 3 for new sims. Tamara reached the top of the criminal career, Javier of the medical, and Dolores of education. Paloma, Celestina and Luz were born.
