The spin-off families!

Terrence Cooper moved into a place of his own with his sweetheart, Sharlene. Because really, who could resist a proposal next to the trash can?

Terrence is a scientist. He's always either at work, or studying his books, or stargazing. What did you expect - he's a knowledge sim, after all!

Well, he does find some time for his bride. Sharlene got a new hat and make-up. She wants to be a criminal mastermind, but at the moment she's still... uhhh... Lemme get back to you on that.

A pregnant Liza Dante stops by for a visit, talking about children, and how in love she is with Amin.

Sharlene agrees... Or maybe she's just looking for any excuse not to have to eat those burned pancakes.

Awww, baby on the way! Doesn't Sharlene look happy? She must've been inspired by Liza...

Old Jonah Black dreams of having a new wife and more children. He's very disappointed that his son Timothy never went to college (since he got Renee pregnant and had to get married instead) and hopes these new children will.

Here's his wife, Katerina Barthelet Black. Sheesh, Jonah, couldn't you at least have gotten dressed?

Not bad looking, Katerina! Not bad at all.

Even before Katerina moved in, Jonah had called the adoption agency and been approved as an adoptive parent. The next day, little Tamara arrived. Jonah loves having her to himself all day while his wife is at work, so he gets to bathe her and play with her and teach her things. When he's not busy with the little one, he paints.

Well, yes, they did decide to have a biological child of their own, as well.

But that didn't stop Jonah from adopting yet another kid. Here's Ronan!

Wait a second. There's already a Ronan in the Black family - Jonah's grandson. Oh well, I guess this one will have to be Ronnie, or Ronan II. Really, though, what are the odds? It's not that common a name...

Hey, Matchmaker Jan, stop stalking my sims! They're happy newly-weds, and don't need your kind of services!

Okay, doing the math after my first complete half-week round... I have 59 sims. 37 of those are teens or younger - 13 boys and 24 girls. Does that seem uneven to anyone else? Oy vey! There are also four or five pregnancies due this next half-week. Let's hope they're not all girls!
