We start this week at the Coopers with Isabella taking care of little Hogan, while the other family members are at work. She plays with him all day long. Perhaps she knows it'll be the last time, and not only because he'll be starting school soon.

When Joel comes home, they head for the bedroom right away. One last woohoo.

Grimmy doesn't show up at six o'clock. Maybe I was wrong, and she has one more day left? Instead, Hogan celebrates his birthday. He looks more like Andrea every day.

And immediately afterwards, as the clock strikes seven, guess who appears?

Yes, Hogan, she's in her underwear. Now pay attention to what's going on! That is - as weird as this sounds - your sister-in-law who's about to leave this world for the next one.

Awww, poor Joel! He loved her so much!

Although Andrea looks distinctly unimpressed. Given that she just lost her husband, Joel's father, a couple days earlier, you'd think she'd be a little more understanding... Maybe the fortune sim in her is too busy thinking about the money he just inherited.

And so Isabella joins Fred in the Cooper Mausoleum.

Which seems to prompt Fred to leave it, and cry about his tombstone being moved. First ghost sighting in Strawberry Fields.

He scares his youngest son...

... but then seems content to play with the toddler toys the rest of the night. And all through his next appearance, a few nights later. Very quiet ghost, our Fred. Well, maybe quiet isn't the word, as you can hear the xylophone all through the house, but you get my drift.

When Isabella makes her first otherworldly appearance, she follows his lead - she scares Joel once, then spends the rest of her time haunting the microwave and wandering the hallways.

And she has grown a beard? Oh, I see, that's just her hair. For a moment there I thought she had turned into Santa. If Santa died, would he become a ghost?

But enough of ghosts, let's return to the world of the living. Joel deals with his grief by jumping into a new career - he joins the army. And grows some scruff (not showing yet in this pic).

At night, he stargazes. Oh wait, he always did that.

Little brother Hogan is a handsome young boy, who learns skills fast, does well in school, and makes friends easily.

Especially with girls. Here he is hugging Rhea Cantrell. He's also close with Keziah Black.

His mother is eager to get him into private school, so they have the headmaster over. Unfortunately the chili was burned, so the food score was a bit on the low side. Time to do some schmoozing, quick!

Ahem. Andrea? What are you doing with the headmaster, in the bathroom, in your PJs? And with that look on your face? Do I even want to know?
Actually, she very nearly ruined the whole thing with her attempts at schmoozing - Hogan had to step in and save the day. Leave it to the kid to make things right when the parent messes up...

Yes, Andrea, I know you need to max your mechanical skill to get that last promotion. I'm working on it!

Voila. Andrea becomes a Criminal Mastermind, just as she has always dreamed of.

And celebrates by passing out on the sidewalk. Snicker.

Towards the end of the week, Joel decides he needs some friendly company to cheer him up. He invites his good friend Carmen Vega over, and she brings her sister Rosario along.

"She's hot!"
"He's hot!"
"I'm not seeing this... If I close my eyes, maybe I can pretend my brother isn't flirting with a college girl... He's old!"
Now now, Hogan, he's not that old! Besides, I think it's good to see him moving on with his life.

Joel certainly doesn't have any hang-ups about age. His first love was old enough to be his mother; this second one is young enough to be his daughter. I think he and Carmen first met when she was a toddler inviting him to come play with her and her bunny rabbit...

Komei, you put that gnome down right now!

Spooky glitch - the urn is hovering in mid-air, even though it's broad daylight...
Points this round: 1, for TOC. Andrea became a Criminal Mastermind.

Poor Joel he looks devastated that his wife died, although not for too long. Too funny Andrea passed out after getting to Criminal Mastermind. I can totally envision it happening in my head. You seem to have gotten lucky with your ghosts there.
