These two weren't behaving much like the family sims they're supposed to be. Neither of them had a want to get married, have a baby, get a job, or any of the usual family wants for new graduates in their first few days as adults. Instead, Adam kept wanting to buy things - and I don't mean the basics as a fridge or bathroom stuff, because that was already there. Kiana on the other hand wanted to call all her friends and family members. You'd think they were fortune and popularity... Just check out this conversation they had over breakfast.
"Adam, now that we've graduated, what should we do next?"
"We'll get jobs, of course. That's what adults do."
"We'll have to work on our skills, or..."
"... we could lose those jobs."
"And friends are important, too. We have to make sure we keep our friendships."
See what I'm talking about?
Well, they did both roll up wants to woohoo, so they did. Still no wants to get married, or have babies. Well, I figured maybe they'd show up eventually, so I waited... and waited...
Hey downtown boy, why are you sitting right outside the room where my sims are woohooing? That's kinda stalkerish, don't you think?
Kiana did bring him home from work with her. She's a doctor, just like her dad.
She actually gets chosen Chief of Staff over her father! That's gotta sting some. But she quickly quit that job for another in the natural scientist field, my favorite career for female family sims. Can't beat a §10,000 a day salary for maternity pay...
See how happy Joe was to hear the news? He and Kiana had a nice father-daughter chat after he came home with her from work.
By then, I had long since given up on waiting for the wants to roll up, and was just trying for baby at any time when both Adam and Kiana were home, and Adam wasn't busy stargazing. (That did limit the time considerably...) Adam was by then a famous chef, and was considering which new career he should try next. Anyway, it took forever to get the lullaby. Five or six tries before success. I hope that doesn't happen every time, because Kiana wants to graduate 3 kids from college.
Now that she's pregnant at last, they do get quietly married, wants or no wants. I need an heir with the Nottington name, after all. And they did roll up the "have a baby" wants right after the ceremony. Both of them. Baby is due on Monday.
Despite all my grumbling, they really are sweet together. They're all over each other all the time - three bolters, of course - and never complain about anything. And please note that while Kiana may be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen, Adam is the one doing the dishes!
Points this round: 3, for 3 TOCs. Chief of Staff and Ecological Guru for Kiana, Celebrity Chef for Adam.

Adam Nottington returned to his childhood home after graduation, and was soon joined by his fiancée Kiana Knight. They spent a fair chunk of money on expanding that small one-room shack into a bigger house.

I loved the conversation between these two. Congrats on all the TOCs! Hum $10,000 a day on maternity leave, didn't think about that.
