Spin-off families, and a brief summary.

Sharlene Cooper is every bit as tidy as you'd expect a Virgo to be. I just love when sims are followed by bubbles wherever they go. Now if only that didn't mean they weren't also obsessed with making their beds...

Aww, Terrence, I'm sorry you're stinky. Please don't look at me like that - I said I was sorry!

The pink lady is giving birth. Cross your fingers for a boy - I really need more boys in this 'hood!

Nope. Girl. I was so frustrated by this that I ended up naming her Shayelle, which is so mot my kind of name. Oh well, variety is good. Besides, Mama's name as Sharlene Kimbrell before she married Daddy...

It seems like only yesterday she was born! And once again, sunlight looks really good on Terrence.

Stylish toddler!

Over at Jonah Black's home, toddler Tamara has grown up. She's pretty cute.

This house always seems to be full of guests. Even when the headmaster was over for a visit, we have Paul Ryan and Carmen Vega joining the family for hamburgers. I have no idea whether that helped Ronnie and Tamara get in, or made sure their parents had to work harder at it.

They did get in. That's all that really matters, isn't it? I'm sure Paul was jealous, fortune sim that he is.

Lexie Nottington hung out with Ronnie one afternoon, talking about what it's like to be an orphan. They're both Aquarii, so if he rolls the right aspiration, they may end up together...

She stayed after dinner, too, chatting to Will Ryan about driving lessons. Two family sims! I'll have to check their chemistry when I get to the Nottington household.

"Mom, when will I be old enough to have my first woohoo?"

Actually, Ronnie doesn't seem to recognize Katerina as his mother. She has the family icon for him, and he appears in her family tree, but he thinks Jonah is his only parent. Weird. Maybe he isn't ready to see his bio mom replaced by his adoptive mom, but doesn't feel the same about his bio dad...

Jonah's LTW is to see three kis through college, so now that he already has two youngsters, of course Katerina has twins. And of course they're both girls...

Keren. (Scorpio, 7/4/10/7/5)

Keziah. (Pisces, 8/5/10/2/10)

And that's the end of Week 1. At current count, I have 67 sims, and a net worth of 508,796 simoleons. It feels a bit odd to round that up to 6 points, but them's the rules... It's an increase of 15 sims since the beginning, and about 300K, give or take.

Eight teens have gone off to La Fiesta Tech: Paul Ryan, Ronan Jackson, Javier Vega, Adam Nottington, Kora and Kiana Knight, Paige Antonius, and Nadia Nettles. They'll be starting two Greek Houses, one fraternity and one sorority. But more about that in Round 2!
Antonius, Bonaccord and Forsythe!

Paige Antonius didn't get up to much excitement during this half-round; she was busy studying for scholarships so she could get away from her parents and go to college as soon as possible. She did date her boyfriend Dorian once in a while, and reached the top of her teen career.

Even heavily pregnant, Rylan still thinks Tori is the sexiest sim he's ever seen.

Penelope and Priscilla grew into children, still looking identical as far as I can tell. I think it's Penelope in the red dress, and Priscilla with the interesting combination of skirt and top.

"Can you believe Paige actually wants boys to stick their tongues down her throat? Ewwww! I'm never ever going to do that - never! I'd rip my hair out by the roots first!"

Hey, Rylan, your wife is in labor. You may want to turn off the TV!

It's another girl, and they named this one Pearl. It wasn't long before she was a toddler. She has the same personality as her sister Paige, except she's much nicer. (Aries, 5/8/6/3/8)

Over to the Bonaccords.

Romulus likes to watch the fishies in the aquarium Laura brought when she moved in. So does Ramsey. Unfortunately, they forgot to feed them and they all died. One of the uncles quickly bought new ones, and Ramsey doesn't seem to have noticed anything.

Knowledge sim that he is, Remus talks to his nephew about the importance of studying hard and reading lots of books. Ramsey seems to have been paying attention, because he works hard at his skills, and does well in school.

Laura is pregnant. Very pregnant. It stopped her from getting promoted, but she had a few days off anyway, and the maternity pay was good. The Bonaccords added a second story after the birth of...

Julius Bonaccord. Everybody was very excited to welcome the new addition to the family; Ramsey especially is happy not to be "the baby" anymore.

Forsythe house.

I thought I had gotten rid of the graves last time I played this house, but apparently not, so here are David and Summer, waving bye-bye to their daughters.

All four of them get along well. Here's a quiet Sunday morning breakfast together, with Rose talking about rockets for some reason. She seems to be the tomboy in the family, despite her fondness for pink.

Do YOU know the lyrics to Oogie Oogie Ooh? Lily seems to be determined to learn them by heart, given how often she sings that particular song. Rose prefers painting or playing chess for fun.

This always makes me so sad to see. With no adult or elder in the house, teens have to cheer themselves when they get an A+. Poor things... (Sniff.)

What on earth is going on here? Is Bryony trying to tie herself into a knot?

Oh, I get it now. She's coming home in the car after going on a date at a community lot - only the car seems to be lagging behind...

Knight, Black, and Nettles!

Life at the Knights was pretty much what you'd expect in a house consisting of a father, his five children, and his new wife. The three teenagers dated. A lot. Since Tavarez and Kiana were already going steady with their respective love interests (Adam Nottington and Rebecca Forsythe) Kora was feeling left out. She wanted to go steady, too!

While they were on a date, her faithless boyfriend Orlando rolled up a want to go steady with Jennifer Ryan instead. Nice, buster! Then he apparently changed his mind and had one want to go steady with Jennifer, one to go steady with Kora... Some family sim. Hmph!

Did I mention that Marisa Bendett, now Knight, was a theorist when she joined the family? She really wants to be a criminal mastermind, but that can wait until she's managed that last promotion to reach the top of this career. She didn't get it this week, but she did get a 50K bonus from a chance card, which they built this house with.

Oh, and they bought a bowling lane. The kids love it.

"Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him well... Wait, this isn't a skull!" Uh, okay Marisa. You're supposed to be working on your skills, not spouting poetry - even if it is the Bard. Joe is working his way up the medical career ladder, and of course everybody's using his reward. It helped his two oldest daughters earn their mechanical scholarships for college.

With the new house, and Marisa's cooking skills, getting the kids into private school was a piece of cake. Joe was very happy, fortune sim that he is. Now he can tell all his friends at work that only the best is good enough for his children.

Yeah, Tavarez, we know you're in private school - there's no need to stick your nose in the air like that!

This house belongs to the Black family. They're doing pretty well, too, but there wasn't much excitement going on.

Ronan keeps romancing the girls. Sasha Dante makes three. I like their matching mohawks!

Jackson enjoys the obstacle course that his dad brought home. Timothy is steadily earning promotions, and when he had the weekend off, spent most of his time gaining skill points and making friends.

Renee hasn't found a job in the slacker career, so she's still a scientist. Well, she's supposed to get to the top of two careers, anyway. She has also made friends with Marisa Knight after bringing her home from work one day. Then Marisa went and started a fight with the downtownie that Timothy had brought home from his work. What is it with her and fighting?

Despite a decent mechanical skill, Timothy isn't very good at fixing a broken shower. It was worse off when he gave up than when he started.

Hello, Jackson! Goodlooking and a knowledge sim! Since the neighborhood is overflowing with girls, he's going to have his pick. Maybe one of those family sims wanting lots of kids, so he can spread his genes around a bit...

At the Nettles home, Nolen decided to make the ultimate sacrifice for his granddaughters, and actually get married. Now that's love for you! So all that was left to decide was who he should marry.

Jessamyn Cantrell was never really an option. For one thing, she clearly had no interest in leaving her cozy little house to take care of a bunch of kids that weren't even hers. For another, when Nolen invited her over on a date one day, she kept running to the bathroom to be sick. That wasn't much of a problem - it was easy to convince her to clean up her own mess, and then she just kept going and straightened out the rest of the place while she was at it. But Nolen had his suspicions about why she was throwing up, and if he was right... No. Just no.

Andrea Hogan was a real possibility, though. Good chemistry, a fortune sim, got along well with the kids... Problem was, some careful questioning revealed that she didn't have that much money, or a very good job.

Who then, if not Andrea or Jessamyn, his only two lovers so far? That was when he met Her.

Contessa Sadie Charvat. (Seriously, Contessa and Sadie just don't go together. It's just... weird.)

After assuring himself that the Contessa does have a bit of money tucked away, Nolen takes her to the cemetary for ambience, then takes the plunge and proposes. She happily accepts - and then...

Bites him. Is that your idea of an engagement present, Sadie? (Best of all, guess what this pic was numbered in my file? 91bdead0. How appropriate!) Then she stalks off and bites someone else while he's waiting for the taxi to arrive. Now I'll have an outbreak of vampirism in the neighborhood...

They got married that night in the middle of the living room. Then he promptly called the matchmaker and bought two bottles of Vamprocillin.

Yes, Nolen, go ahead and drink it. The sun is on its way up!

You can take the vampire out of the girl, but you can't... uh... Never mind. Sadie stalks.

She brought in about 50K, so they built themselves a nice house. I like building houses when there's money to spend. Just for fun, let's take a peek.

Downstairs. Living room, a big kitchen, two bathrooms, and a master bedroom with attached nursery in the lower left corner. (Planning ahead, dontcha know.) They're a bit short on furniture at the moment, but they can keep adding more as time goes by.

Upstairs. Half unfinished, since I don't really know what I'll want to put there (career rewards, maybe?) but there are two bedrooms for the kids, and a bathroom.

Nina is a teenager! There's a clear family resemblance here... I don't seem to have any pics of her after her make-over, so that'll have to wait until next round. She rolled fortune.

Nadia, dating Ricky Cormier is freaky enough without you doing... whatever that is!

Oh, and guess who the "someone else" was that the Contessa bit?

Meet Jan, the matchmaker vampire!
